The Shredder is back and I have something to say about what is going on.

As a fan of local and taped shows like TNA Impact, what I see is not good.

I mean I watched Thursdays show and think to myself that I have seen all this already if was called Monday night Nitro and it failed when the NWO took control. So now they have the MEM main even mafia and it the same old thing.

Kurt Angle may have been a good aquisition at the time but let others take the next step and send him packing. He has the hard on for Jeff Jarret and the family threats that is not good tv at all.

Raw well thats another story I mean they have no new talent and the same old rivals so why bother to watch Cena and Bastista do the same as the previous week.

I am still a fan but, my money and time will be at the local show and if TNA doesn't let the MEM course come to an end well I may be looking elsewhere for my entertainment.

As I see it there is a lot going on with wrestling that needs to be addresses.
First of all the WWE is not the best program on today and I have some examples of why that is. They have the same old thing and nothing new, I mean how many times can you tune in to see the same wrestlers battle and have the title only change hands because a general manager is banging the heavy weight champion thats just bad tv. Now I have been watching wrestling for a long time so I have see the NWO come and go and now DX has made its mark. Its time that some new talent get introduced I mean no one cares if the strongest man is champion personally I would like to see someone like a Jeff Hardy become champion and let him take the spotlight for a while. And as for three shows that are on well they need to combine into a max of one.

On the otherside I watch TNA each week and they are producing a better product as you never know what may happen. I have to agree with something Eric Bichofff stated when he was at the helm"people would tune in just to see what will happen next". And lets face it they may not have the McMahon name on the bottom line they have better talent. Yes of course their are some wrestlers who use older moves from the past. But if you look at any sport that happens all the time and if the fans don't like it then they would not be showing up to the shows. I attend shows local to Colorado and have seen some great talent on the local scene and have to say the fans are more intense then any WWE show. I have attended a WWE show as well and have to say the value is the one where the fans are into the show.

So this is just a wake up call to anyone who is willing to listen.

Gator Honeymoon

Tonight on Impact Thursday February 21, 2008 “Aligator Honeymoon”.

In action tonight Booker T, Kurt Angle, Currry Man and Shark Boy, a tag match with the Knockout division, a number one contenders match for the X Division and a tribute to one of the up and coming superstars Jay Lethal.

With AJ Style becoming Karen Angles new husband Kurt Angle tells Karen to go to her new husband with her drama and leave him alone. I am not sure where they are going with this one.

Here are the highlights for the night:

Booker T faced Kurt Angle the reining TNA Heavy Weight Champion
Curry Man and Shark Boy faced Team 3D
Bullet Bob Armstrong and Kip James faced the current TNA Tag team champions Tomko and the Prince of Phonomenal AJ Styles the title was on the line

O.D.B. and Gail Kim faced off against Roxxi Laveaux and Ms. Jacqueline

Kaz against Rellik
Petey Williams vs. Johnny Devine vs. Sonjay Dutt for a chance at the X Divsion Title

The main event was the best match of the night with Kurt Angle looking distracted and Booker T very focused as he had several clost calls before the interference by Robert Roode which gave Angle the win.

I would have to say that tonight’s show was ok but, not one of the better stories as the fake wedding thing is not that great for the jealously side and buildup for future matches.

Here are the results for the show:

Brother Ray won in the handicap match with Curry Man and Shark Boy once again the scale was a factor.
Roxxi Laveaux and Ms. Jaqueline over O.D.B. and Gail Kim
AJ Styles and Tomko over Bullet Bob Armstrong and Kip James
Kurt Angle over Booker T.

Next week we’ll see Kevin Nash and Kurt Angle on next TNA Impac that match should be a great one maybe Nash will make another run for the title. I think the title should change hands and so far Booker T is who I would have Angle drop the title to.

Until next time this is Shredder88 I’m out.

TNA for Valentine's Day

TNA Impact for Thursday 14, 2008.

Its that time of year for all the love birds to celebrate Love in the Air and well the TNA Champion Kurt Angle and his wife Karen are no different.

Tonight on Impact it was a jampacked show with lots to talk about.

The show starts off with the announcement of the Olympic Gold Medalist TNA Champion Kurt Angle will renew his wedding vows to Karen Angle.

JB(Jeremy Borache) will be the Maid of Honor and AJ Styles will be Kurts best Man for ceremony.

Matches tonight:

Abyss vs. Scott Steiner
TNA Champions Tomko and AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe and Christian Cage
Showtime Eric Young vs. Rellik
O.D.B vs. The Knock out Champion Awesome Kong in a street fight
Three way match between a member of each of the following team members
MMG, LAX, and The Rock n Rave Infection
Curry Man and Shark Boy vs. Team 3D.

It was certainly a full show tonight with surprises and twists that were unexpected and even and Appearance from some NASCAR stars as well.

The night started out with Jim Cornette trying to get Samoa Joe to sign the new TNA contract which was going just fine until Christian Cage comes to the Impact Zone ring and comments about what happened at Against All Odds on Sunday where he lost his title shot when Tomko interfered to help Kurt Angle retain the TNA title.

Cage asks Samoa Joe to be his partner tonight against the Tag Team Champions Tomko and The Phonomenal AJ Styles, which Samoa Joe accepts and the contract is still in limbo to be signed. This is one to wait for or watch again if you can.

Joe will take care of Personal Business before TNA business. Stay tuned.
Tomko make his statement about what happened at Against All Odds and that he did it because he wanted to and will speak with Kurt about the Angle Alliance.

The first match of night is a tag team match Curry Man and Shark Boy take on Team 3D or so we thought. Being that the Motor City Machine Guns won the match now in order to wrestle each member of Team 3D have to be under 275 to compete. Bring on the scale and brother Devon is weighed first and he is at the right weight to wrestle. While Brother Ray is over the limit and has to sit this out sorta.

So its a Handicap match and is going alright for Shark Boy and Curry Man when of course Brother Ray has to help out his tag partner and hit Curry Man with the scale giving Brother Devon the easy victory and the 1 2 3 pin. I think that this is a mistake as the push for Shark Boy was looking good and with this loss I hope they keep him in the spotlight and maybe give him a X Division shot in the near Future.

As for the ceremony well, it was your typical wedding accept that the maid of honor was a broadcaster and Kurts best man was someone who wants Karen for himself just your normal love triangle in a six sided ring.

The ceremony is about to finish when Somoa Joe and Kevin Nash appear and come down to take out Kurt just as he promised a war has begun. And they not only beat on the Olympic Medalist they strip him of his dignity and clothes as well. Amongst the rags the Minister announces Man and Wife and AJ Styles and Karen are both standing there so now we have a marriage in the Alliance which will be lots of fun what will we see next week I can hardly wait. I am not a fan of Kurt Angle but, in this case he gets whats he deserves I just think he should drop the title to continue this “angle”.

So all in all it was an ok show I think it could have been better but, then I am a fan so I look forward to seeing where they take this next.
If you have any comments about the show or my review please let me know.
